GOLD LEAF & LUSTRE CAKE
During this two day class you’ll learn how to decorate two tiers with a sharp edge sugarpaste finish, apply edible gold leaf, sugar flowers, and create a lustred finish. We’ll start by covering two dummy tiers with sugarpaste to create a sharp edge finish, we’ll apply a lustre finish and gold leaf details before covering a cake board and stacking the tiers. The groundwork done, we can relax as I share my techniques for creating a rose, rose buds, berries and leaves in your chosen colour. With your own handmade sugar flowers ready we will finish your cake with a sugar flower arrangement.
All materials and tools, plus a light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Suitable for beginners with some decorating experience keen to advance their skill.
